Welcome toAntiques & Moore!
This listing is for a lovely Victorian Period pale creamy yellow Custard glass ewer with enameled decoration, c. 1900. The ewer has a melon shaped lower body and tall slender neck with widely scalloped rim. The glass body is further embellished with an enameled floral design with golden-orange stems and gilt accented flowers and foliage. Applied clear glass handle with enameled decoration. There is a gilded band around rim and on pedestal base.
The ewer is in very good Estate condition with no noted flaws other than a small amount of roughness on bottom of handle. This is very common on these pieces as this is the area where the glass was cut off the glass blowers pipe.
Measures 8 5/8" high (at handle) with the base measuring 2 1/2" in diameter. Weighs 14.3 ounces.
